Summer 2026 Orientation and Transition Leader Info Session
About this Event
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of incoming students? Do you want to develop leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and help new Chargers transition smoothly into life at the University of New Haven? Did you attend SOAR and have a good time?
If so, we invite you to apply to become an Orientation & Transition Leader (OTL) for 2026!
As an OTL, you will play a vital role in welcoming and guiding new students through their first experiences on campus. You will gain hands-on leadership experience, enhance your communication and teamwork skills, and form lasting friendships—all while making a positive impact on the Charger community.

Qualifications
· Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of hire and throughout employment period
· Be in good academic and disciplinary standing at time of hire and throughout employment period
· Full-time availability: June 8, 2026- July 20th, 2026, plus August 11th through the beginning of the Fall semester (dates subject to change)
Benefits/Compensation:
· Stipend
· On-campus housing for duration of employment period during training, and SOAR dates
· Meals for duration of OTL training plus all four session dates, transfer student orientation dates and Fall Charge In
· Permitted to move into Fall 2026 housing assignment early in August (if resident student)
· Learn invaluable leadership skills and work as a part of a team
